WHO ARE WE?

The Spruce Cliff Community Association was established in 1950 and is run by a small but dedicated group of volunteers who believe strong communities are engaged communities. We are committed to being an inclusive and caring community. We value being a safe, beautiful, active and accessible neighbourhood.

Our mission is to promote and foster open communication, advocate for our neighbourhood and build connections for all our residents, associates and partners.

How? Through the creation and delivery of community connections, events and strategic initiatives.

Why? To encourage involvement and create a sense of pride in both our residents and visitors.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who meet on the first Wednesday of every month (note: the Board does break for the summer months) to discuss important matters relating to the Community Association (such as budget, new initiatives, community development and upcoming events). The Board is elected annually at our AGM in May, and we typically sit for a two-year term.

If you are interested in attending a meeting and would like to make a presentation to the Board. Please contact president@sprucecliff.org to submit information about your proposal before the next scheduled meeting.

VOLUNTEERING

It is with thanks to the Spruce Cliff residents and engaged community volunteers like you that we are able to operate. Our efforts focus on making Spruce Cliff a great place to live, work and play. You can be a part of something great. Volunteer today!

As the ol’ adage goes – many hands make light work. The more residents that we have to help out, means the more residents we are able to reach and keep engaged in our events and programs.

If you like to help organizing and executing events or have a knack for social media, photography or want to show off your writing skills, or love chatting about redevelopment and envisioning the future of our community — then boy, do we have jobs for you!
